At Wintec, students will gain the knowledge, training and skills to care for public and private gardens, parks and open spaces, while also getting the benefit of learning at the beautiful Hamilton Gardens campus!

Typically students will study the horticultural programmes over two years to develop the skills and knowledge to be amenity gardeners, collection curators, grounds people or amenity contractors.


Level 3
Students can choose to study either the General Horticulture (Level 3) in semester one and/or the Applied Horticultural Services (Level 3) (Amenity) in semester two. 

Students who choose to complete their study after the first year will have the skills to work as a skilled gardener in this area.

Level 4
In the second year students will study the Advanced Horticultural Trades (Level 4) (Amenity). Graduates will be qualified to be a team leader in an amenity garden situation. This is a 12 month programme.
